01 · Problem
Freelancers in France and North Africa were invoicing from Word templates or desktop tools. Existing mobile apps were built for US tax rules, missed French legal mentions (SIRET, TVA), and locked basic features behind a paywall on first launch.
02 · My role
Everything. Designed the flows, built the app in React Native with Expo, set up subscriptions, wrote the store listings and ran the keyword strategy.
03 · Key decisions
- A
Offline first, sync later
Invoices are created in local SQLite and synced to Supabase in the background. The app works on a train or a client site with no signal.
- B
Paywall after value
Three free invoices before any prompt. RevenueCat experiments showed this converted 2.1× better than a launch paywall.
- C
ASO in French first
Targeted long-tail French keywords ("facture auto-entrepreneur") where competition was thin, then expanded to English.
